About this trip

This adventure into the majestic Þórsmörk Mountain Range which offers magnificent landscape is a must for nature lovers. We start by driving our modified 4×4 Super Jeeps from Seljalandsfoss waterfall, along rough mountain tracks and cross un-bridged glacial rivers on our way into Þórsmörk valley of the Thunder God Thor.

We will also stop at Gígjökull outlet glacier of Eyjafjallajokull glacier-volcano and then it is optional to stop and hike into either Merkurker, Naurhúsagil or Stakkholtsgjá. In Þórsmörk there are many marked walking paths, ideal for short hikes, and also views of the three glaciers; Eyjafjallajökull volcano, Tindfjallajokull glacier and Mýrdalsjökull glacier, the home of Katla volcano.

Finally, at Seljalandsfoss you will be able to have the opportunity to walk behind the 65 meter (213 feet) high waterfall.This is one of our most popular day tours.

The age limit to operate a ATV is 18 years old, and a fully valid driver’s license is needed as well. Children and those who don’t hold a driver’s license are welcome to ride as passengers.
