Volcano Adventure Day Tour

About this trip

On this volcano adventure tour to Fimmvörðuháls we start by driving our modified 4×4 Super Jeep along the south shore, making our first stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where you will have the opportunity to walk behind the 65 meter (213 feet) high waterfall.

Next we travel to Skógar, driving upwards between two glaciers up to Fimmvörðuháls, driving along a 4X4 jeep-track up to 800m high, where we start on a 3km walk, up to the craters Móði and Magni, that erupted on the evening of March 20th 2010. Upon arrival we can look at the craters and the lava-beds and feel the heat from the lava.

From Fimmvörðuháls we have a beautiful wiew over Þórsmörk, Eyjafjallajökull and Mýrdalsjökull. When we arrive down again, we stop by Skógarfoss waterfall, where the driver prepares the Super-Jeep for the journey home.

Fimmvörðuháls is known for unstable weather, and that is why this tour is not always possible. If it is not, we offer you to choose another of our tours, or a refund.
